Iron Castings Made in Southern Kansas
Kansas Castings produces three types of iron castings — each suited to different applications. We pour, finish, and ship from our Belle Plaine, Southern Kansas foundry, with in-house machining for gray and ductile iron parts.
Cast Iron Materials
- Abrasion-Resistant White Iron — High-chrome ASTM A532 Class II Type D for severe wear applications. Our specialty.
- Gray Iron / Grey Iron — Workhorse cast iron for housings, machine bases, and machinable parts. ASTM A48.
- Ductile Iron — Higher-strength nodular iron for load-bearing and pressure-bearing parts. ASTM A536.
Foundry Services
- Sand Molding and Core Production — Green sand and air-set molds, plus 3D-printed sand cores via partner shop for complex geometries.
- Full Foundry Capabilities — Pour, clean, machine (gray and ductile only), finish, and quality-test under one roof.
- Quality Control — In-house Brinell, green sand, chemical, and dimensional testing; third-party tensile verification.
Industries We Serve
- Agriculture — tillage and seeding wear parts, gearbox housings, no-till seed drill components
- Oilfield — pump impellers and liners, valve bodies, mud and frac equipment
- Automotive & Industrial — brackets, mounts, machine bases, custom OEM components
